Time is running out to secure your discounted spot at the world premiere of the 2025 McCall Life Town Edit.
The party starts at 5 p.m. at Little Ski Hill when DJ Tate starts spinning tunes and building the hype. The last time I swayed to Tate's sick beats, I was dressed as Fred Jones of Scooby Doo fame. This Saturday, I'm planning to keep it classy — maybe a retro '80s one-piece :) or something from Dancing in the Rain (hope not).
After Tate warms up the crowd and we pass out some sweet prizes to our raffle winners (you only get a chance to win if you purchase a discounted $5 ticket (adults) or $2.50 ticket (kids) online before the event), the Fifth Annual Town Edit hits the big screen. I know we say this every year, probably because every year it's true, but this is our best Town Edit yet! You're going to love it — and if you don't, Little Ski Hill will be glad to sell you a beer or two to drown your sorrows.
After the Town Edit, the screen lights up for The Zoo – a short film from the kids at GAPYEAR, an all-McCall crew bringing their talents to BSU and their cameras to Boise. We're pumped to have a brand-new gang showing their first-ever film to the hometown crowd. Again, odds are you're going to love it.
And, finally, no Town Edit party would be complete without showing a Lucas Gibbons original. Gibbons has moved to Salt Lake City and is part of a bigger production crew now — a far cry from his one-man videographer gig at Brundage, where he saved money and time by living in his van in the parking lot. This year's edit — from DANG and Factotum — is titled Sweet Spot, and as the name implies, it's sweet.
So, go online, pay your $5 (or $2.50), and meet us at Little Ski Hill on Saturday, December 13, at 5 p.m. Oh, and be a dear and forward this email along to someone not cool enough to be on the list. They'll thank you for it — and maybe buy your ticket.
See you Saturday!
